Jelly bean
For all Jelly bean users.
1) Xperia SL 6.2.B.0.211 World released and added to the guide. It brings a lot of bug fixes , I recommend every SL user to flash it. It's fast and gives almost double battery backup then any other SL firmware. ( After flashing, you'll observe battery draining faster but after a week or so you'll observe improved results.)
2) Xperia P ME firmware following in next 5-6 hours . ( it has all the language and is similar to world firmware )
3) To make sure you make the most out of your Jelly bean, follow this way of installing.
a) Installing from flashtool / PCC / SUS for the first time.
b) doing a factory data reset including internal memory wipe. ( SD memory )
c) Installing once again from SUS.
This way you'll ensure smooth working of your phone.

What is phone root?
What is the root?
Rooting for beginners: Questions and Answers
The number of Android devices on the market continues to increase, and by association, there a ton of new Android users who are looking at the how’s and why’s of rooting their device. Here is a pretty comprehensive list that answers some of the most frequently asked questions about rooting.
What is the root?
In the most literal sense, root is a part of a plant that typically lies below the surface of the soil. Rooting a smartphone is completely different: by rooting users can gain privileged access to Android’s subsystem (or root access). This is useful for accessing data, making backups, or changing the "base" of your smartphone, such as the Android (ROM) interface.
How does rooting work?
By rooting an Android device, you basically install a new kernel. A kernel is the conductor that will tell the software how to use the hardware portion of your device. Very simply put, the new kernel allows for more access and more customizable access to your devices hardware.
What is a Custom Rom?
A ROM is an Android-based system. This is actually the system that you use. TouchWiz is the rom developed by Samsung, the HTC Sense, etc ... We talk about custom rom (Custom) when the developer of the ROM is an independent group or individual. For example, CyanogenMod is a custom ROM for example, based on Android "pure".
In detail, this is a set of consistent data with a chip ROM (read only memory), present on your smartphone.
Am I still running Android after rooting?
Absolutely, all custom ROMs are based on Android.
Can I continue to receive official updates?
Yes and no. Rooting a device cannot receive official updates via OTA (remote), but you can still install them manually.
What are the advantages of rooting your device?
As mentioned previously, you have total control of your device, so you can install from other customs roms, remove normally impossible to delete applications, and perform a full backup of your data.
What will happen if I root my phone without installing a Custom ROM?
Nothing really. You’ll have the ability to install a custom ROM later on if you so choose, however.
What is a custom recovery?
The recovery mode (recovery / restore) that can be accessed by restarting your phone, which allows you to perform maintenance and repair. When you’ve rooted a device, you also install a custom recovery, which in essence is just a modified recovery mode. By doing so, it allows the users to do complete backups or to install custom ROMs.
What is flashing?
Flashing a ROM simply means installing a ROM.
Can I root my phone if it comes from a carrier?
Yes, if the name of your smartphone model is the same as the kernel you’re installing. Some carriers may control their own versions, so be careful. It is in most cases possible to root a device with a carrier ROM.
What does unlocking mean?
If your smartphone is locked by the carrier, like Orange for example, you may encounter your device requesting an unlocking code once you’ve tried to flash your new ROM. It is very important to ask for this unlocking code from your carrier first before trying to root your device. Keep in mind, some carriers do provide this code for free and always make sure for yourself before trying. Know that there are alternative methods to doing this but they carry their own risk. Also, be careful when buying a used smartphone and be sure to check with the seller whether the device is unlocked or not.
Can I break my phone?
Risks exist, for example if you interrupt the process while in the middle of rooting, or if you choose an incompatible kernel. If you follow the procedure correctly, reading everything well, including warnings, everything should go smoothly. I’ve rooted dozens of Android devices and I’ve never bricked one yet. And by bricking, I mean turning the smartphone into an unusable “brick”.
Do I need a computer?
In most cases, yes. There are some programs that you’ll need to use in order to root your device (Odin for Samsung, Flashtool for Sony, etc)
Where can I find tutorials?
You can find tutorials all across the web, including YouTube video tutorials. We offer various tutorials across our AndroidPIT family and you can find them on the forum or on the blog itself. You will find the list of tutorials by searching for the ROOT tag in our search bar or browsing the Android “Root” Forum.
How can I “deroot” my device
Usually the easiest way to revert back to factory settings is to reinstall the original ROM on your android device. Depending on which method you use to root your device, you might have to use applications such as Triangle Away
How to root a phone?
I KNOW YOU GUYS WERE UNABLE TO ROOT YOUR DEVICES USING THE PREVIOUS METHOD SO HERE IS A NEW ONE (PC REQUIRED)
One Click Root for Any Android Device
ERoot
1) Connect your phone to PC ( IMPORTANT > Skip PC Companion installation pop up on your phone.) and wait for the adb drivers to be installed. If these drivers don't get installed, phone would not be detected by Eroot.
Make sure nothing else ( specially flashtool ) is running on your PC in the background.
2) Download this rooting toolkit from below and run it. If any downloading starts, cancel it by clicking the green button. Don't let the eroot download anything.
It should now detect your phone and show an option to "-root". Just click on it, wait till it finishes
3)Rooting done ( For confirmation see if any Super User app has been installed )
4) If by chance it fails for the first time, give it another go. it won't harm your phone in any way

MOBILE PHONE
This is an update to my Cherry Mobile (Orbit phone) complaint:
1) I emailed DTI NCR on May 9, 2012 about my complaint against CM.
2) DTI NCR on May 10 acknowledged receipt of my email complaint.
3) DTI NCR emailed me on May 14 and asked for more details of my complaint. I responded right away.
4) On May 17, DTI sent me (and to Cherry Mobile) a notice for mediation which was scheduled at 3 pm the ...next day. (Fortunately, it was DTI's mediation week that week and May 18th was the last day!)
5) On May 18, I went to PTTC, Pasay City, the venue of the mediation. To cut the story short, the CM rep agreed to replace my unit at no cost. I got it last Saturday, May 26th.
Short history of my complaint:
1) Bought CM Orbit on May 19, 2011.
2) Returned the unit for repair twice (forgot the dates already), the first was a depressed power button (repaired) and the second was for a non-responsive screen (repaired).
3) Third complaint (still within the one-year warranty period) is again about the power button (lumubog ulit) but it was diagnosed as "Beyond Economic Repair - Unit Wet" by their technician. I found this unfair and totally false. I was told that they will only repair it if I pay 80% of the cost.
My sincerest thanks to DTI NCR esp the Mediation Officer from Region 2 (Ma'am Susan). Maraming salamat din kay Mr. Allan Paguio ng CM.

nokia n serias complaints
According to a recent IntoMobile article it looks as if there could be a major problem with the Symbian^3-based Nokia N8, users are reporting that their smartphone no longer turns on.
If you check out this thread on Nokia Discussions you ca...n see five pages of people reporting the same problem, mostly suggesting that their Nokia N8 started shutting itself down and in the end it completely failed to turn on.
Mobile-Review.com’s Eldar Murtazin recently tweeted this message “story repeat itself. Nokia n8 like 5800 has damage parts in first production volumes. N8 are dying across the world. All phones are affected”.
If your N8 has been affected by this problem we would love to hear what Nokia has done to help you, whether you have found a fix and whether they have agreed to replace the fault smartphone under warranty, let us know in the comments section below.

Samsung C300 Problems
The Samsung C300 is a low-end cell phone susceptible to problems common among almost every mobile device. The most common C300 problems are with texting, batteries, speed and network connectivity. The problems vary by ...device usage and the quality of maintenance of the C300.
Text problems are common due to an issue with the sliding keyboard. At times, the C300 will inadvertently change text-entry modes when the user opens and closes the dial pad. The battery is more susceptible to water damage that other phones. Due to the back cover having larger-than-normal gaps, water spillage can enter the phone and fry the battery quickly. Issues with connectivity are caused by the construction of the internal antenna and how it is seated low in the C300. Device slowness occurs because there is a small amount of internal memory on the phone. Loading the phone with apps, songs or media causes the device to run unusually slow. With only 2MB of internal memory, the C300 can fill up quickly.

Apple iphone 5 COMPARE WITH LUMIA 920
Design
We'll begin in the traditional manner: how the thing actually feels in the hand. With the iPhone 5 there will be many types of prospective buyer: the upgrader from the 4 (or more-money-than-sense iPhone 4S upgraders), those tired of their Android handset and those taking their first steps in the smartphone market and want to get one of them iThingies their friend/child has.odd sensation, but it actually detracts from the experience when you first pick it up. We've praised the weighty feel of the iPhone in the past, lending it a premium feel in the face of toy-like phones, and it's almost disappointing that Apple decided to join that clan.
However, through extended use this problem quickly disappears. The overall effect of the phone is still a chassis designed for strength, and so it feels solid, if somehow a little hollow; pleasantly, though, it sits more anonymously in the pocket.

Technology - There are two main screen technologies currently used in phones and tablets: LCD and AMOLED. The former usually features a light source and liquid crystals, while the latter is based on organic light-emitting diodes. Newer LCD variations like IPS-LCD and Super-LCD allow for very accurate color reproduction and very wide viewing angles, where no significant image quality loss is observed. Current AMOLED screens differ in such a way that they can exhibit much more saturated colors (sometimes too much) and incredibly high contrast levels, which is due to black color being completely black in AMOLED displays.
